People strolling along the beach at the end of the day frequently see strangely-shaped suns sinking into the waves. Oceans are good at producing such mirages. But there was no ocean near this mirage deep in the heart of Texas:
Most meteors burn a straight path through Earth's atmosphere, but last week Doug Zubenel of De Soto, Kansas, photographed one that didn't--a lovely curving Lampyridid:

Fireflies are nocturnal members of the beetle family Lampyridae. They meander curvaceously through the atmosphere producing their cold, green light via a biochemical reaction between oxygen and luciferin.
Luciferins (from the Latin lucifer, "light-bringer") are a class of light-emitting biological pigments found in organisms capable of bioluminescence. This is a space-filling model of firefly luciferin. Color coding: yellow=sulfur; blue=nitrogen; black=carbon; red=oxygen; white=hydrogen. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luciferin Moreover, in optics, the term "visible light" refers to electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths of ~300 nm (near UV) through ~1400 nm (near infrared). [1] Light is composed of elementary particles called photons. Three primary properties of light are: Light can exhibit properties of both waves and particles. This property is referred to as wave–particle duality. The study of light, known as optics, is an important research area in modern physics. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light A satellite photo of the Cabal's TR3-B Astra triangular anitigravity craft flying near Perth, Australia is attached. It looks virtually identical to the TR3-Bs which the Cabal flew near the financial capital of Europe, Brussels, Belgium in 1990, to show off to the upper-level insiders how far their technology had come.http://www.spaceweather.com
